Mad Men: elements of style

The ’60s came to an end, and the same thing’s gonna happen to Mad Men, we’re told.

But the source documents (oh, the happiness of those words!) rage on.

And here’s one of them, and it’s a delight.

David Ogilvy (one of the original Mad Men) wrote a memo to his employees that reads like a streamlined Elements of Style

Which, of course, makes me adore it.

He hits the significant points of writing, and he does it fast. Impressive.
