Book club gorgeousness

Since we last spoke of book club
We’ve been doing some reading.
And some gathering-not-to-discuss-books.
And more reading.
And lots of eating. (At least I have.)
And when we’ve read, here’s what we’ve chosen:
A
Study in Scarlet
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Killshot
by Elmore Leonard
The
Great Gatsby
by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Next up:
Yes,
Chef
by Marcus Samuelsson
My shameful confession: I’ve listened to 3 of the 4 books. Which feels a bit like admitting I’ve been drinking my dinner. (Yeah, I haven’t been doing that. See: lots of eating, above.)
And when we’ve gathered-not-to-discuss-books, and at our Great Gatsby discussion, we were elegantly arrayed. But no photographic evidence exists, because of camera-shyness. So you’ll have to take it from me: we looked darn lovely.
And that’s the news from Lake Book Club.

  1. Hummus, cheese and crackers (my perennial lazy-girl contribution), stuffed mushrooms, cookies, cake, chocolate, flaky pastry things, chips… It's a smorgasbord of goodness. My friends are cooking marvels.
